As much as I hate crashes they can, do, and WILL happen . Simple rubber bands and 3m hooks, glue it in, velcro, whatever floats your plane, at the end of the day it all works well enough.

My SS #1 has used rubber bands under the bottom since day 1 over a year ago.
Never the slightest problem other than an overshoot slide on asphalt.
2 fresh bands and good to go.

Just make sure the spar covers are well attached.

Nicely done. That is the first time I have seen an SS doing slope soaring. You flew is perfectly, IMO. What did you do to the plane to get the CG in the right place? Again, welcome.

The plane is empty, CG standard, put in the cockpit 2 pack ( 4 x AA) NiMg for receiver.

I understand the advice. Right now I am waiting for my batteries, charger etc to ship from HK. One part is backordered. Then I am going to do some taping and go fly. A neighbor of mine who used to be in the hobby knows of a field that a local club uses. I am going to go with him there for the maiden flight.

But first I need to get the plane assembled and the spar reinforced..

First, thank you Shimmy for not 'stomping' me for being so painfully blunt.
I can't really say why my reaction to what you do brings out such passion in me. Maybe It's like I told you I really thought you were 15 years old and I got all 'fatherly' about you, well dude I guess I'm still that way.

I am so looking forward to you flying and you have a friend who has flown. I just want to here the joy in your post when it happens.
