Description: 'Houston we got a problem' So finally beat my Blitzrc SS into and unflyable state and ordered an airframe from HK, a Bixler. Unpacked it and found the back edge of the wings are warped, bent down. Should I try and fix this or send it back?

Thanks,
DJ

Comparable plane to bixler

That I can buy that uses the servos, battery, motor and esc, transmitter and receiver? Would like to be able to use all my spare parts from my bixler in another foam plane but one with landing gear ( don't want to put landing gear on my bixler). Any ideas? Front engine ok also. Just want to keep using the parts I have

Thanks in advance to all that reply.

Find out if they will send you a new set of wings if you send them back the warped ones.

If they want the entire package you could either send it or try to straighten it out using warm water first.

Another option would be to just get another set of wings to go with the new airframe.

DJ,

Fix is simple. Use hot (not boiling) water on the warped area and shape it flat again.

I laid the wing on a flat surface and set a 3# hammer on it for 30 min. went to get my heat gun to warm it and to my amazement it was already straight. Thanks Eagle, I be happy

DJ

BTW, Shows me to NEVER EVER put a foam plane in a bind it will damn sure take a set.

don't want a floater. Would perfer a plane with landing gear. Doesn't have to be retractable but ok if it is. Am I asking to much?

Thanks in advance

I'm going to do just that. For the sake of set-up can't I press it as I've got it now and lay a wet reg over it and use a heat gun? I've got a lazer thermometer to keep from cooking it.
Would that work

Thanks Bill,
DJ

Duh.... You wrote that in your post and I forgot it. My bad. I apologize. I hope the next suggestion makes up for my previous blunder. My suggestion (but, no foam) is for you to buy a Slow Stick. It requires all of the stuff that you already have. Parts are readily available, too. There, I hope I got it right this time.
AJ.
P.S. It would not be right to elaborate on other planes because I am really too far Off Topic now. I hope that plane works for you.
