I am having a hard time visualizing what you use thread/ca for on a Slow Stick motor mount. Perhaps a picture would help. Btw- I just finished my Blue SS a couple of days ago. I haven't even seen a Blue SS until recently. HERE is the Video. It is too way long for now. So, just skip through it and find the takeoffs and landings.

As you know, I have that motor on a Sky Surfer with EZ* silver wings. Nice plane. Still, though, I like the Sky Surfer wings better. Here is the movie with that motor being used (and 6x4E prop + 30a ESC). It is less that 2 minutes in length. So, hopefully, it is not boring.
Sky Surfer with EZstar wings #2.mov (1 min 51 sec)

I have done that many times, also. But, I was asking specifically what he used string and CA for on a Motor Mount???

It needs to be immortalized in page #1
