After a considerable time, (much longer then the postings make it appear on here), I have given up trying to mount the lead pieces together with a geared motor in the keel bulb. I sanded, filed, drilled on that thing for days at a time, until I feel just short of a fatal dose of lead poisoning, and I still didn't have a working motorized keel bulb.

That is a nice looking deck, one of these days I would like to try that. How did you cut down the plastic strips, did you sand them or scrape them?

remember, this is building off of a kit; the Teak planks were supplied cut to width and thickness. I use a Chopper II to cut the lengths I need. ImagesView all Images in thread
