Has anyone seen those new little helicopters with a stabilization system? They're really small but are fully 3D aerobatic. I don't fly 3D... but when I flew this little thing, I was easily able to do rolls, fly upside down, do loops, tic toks, etc. It was so easy that anyone could do it on the first try. But, the secret to it is a very strong gyro that operates in several functions.. and at least 3 axis.

So, here's my question. If there is a stabilization unit that will work on all axies... as this one does.... why the heck can't someone upsize it to stabilize a 500 size helicopter and/or a Gaui set up? I HAVE to have some kind of very strong and reliable stabilization system before I can fly this giant scale AH-1.

(and, no... I still haven't finished swapping the wiring on my Vic20)

Buzz I bought a Walkera chopper for my son and it has a 3 axis gyro setup and he bashes that small thingy all over the place.
It self stabilizes and is amazing.

Could it be called something else.

You can't set Expo on channel 5 as its usually used for the gyro gain. You can only adjust the end points.

Thanks, I found that. Currently with the larger 11.1V battery its much more responsive but there's a bit of a wobble - the end points are set to 50/50, I'm guessing since its a two position switch each number represents the gain in each setting [hover or cruise].

I'll check this tomorrow but does reducing the end point lower the gain? How much should I lower or raise it?

Its different for sure, kinda neat but not sure it fits the overall look and makes payloads hard to add.

If your using it as a toy, I guess this would appeal to people who want to use the 330X for sport flying or more as a toy.

It would be better if they'd add more features like altitude, position and hold etc..

I had new batteries come in today for a heli, but they were to wide to fit. 2s 1100 30c
will that be fine to use on the quadcopter?

1100 is a bit on the small side will work but will be shorter flight time and it may be a bit light for stability. 2000~3000 2s or 3s is generally what msot use I think. 3s when carrying load, 2s when runing just the quad stock weight. Could always run 2 in parallel and get a 2200 pack out of it.

I would if you can. If not parallel will be bascially the same thing.

If you plan to carry any payload I would go 3s 2000~3000
