Only ONE combat at NEFI..

my previous postings of 2 types of combat was in error...

there will be only one type of combat at NEFI...
sorry for my error...

..............................

Hi Sandy, in response to ur phone call pertaining to F&F at the NEFI event. Danny & Mrs. Wilson just returned from vacation today. He feels, as I do, that the purposed agenda offers some interesting change of pace events such as pylon racing and sailplane endurance that may appeal to our Group. Therefore, we are not interested in running our Combat event during NEFI. Thanks for thinking about the Group and, as always, hope to see U at our next F&F event. Yours, Mike

A Main Hobbies has sponsored our charging station.

www.amainhobbies.com

We will have two 40 amp power supplies like the one pictured below for pilots to use. Simly connect your charger and battery and we will have someone monitoring the charging station at all times.

I can't make it this year since I have a prior commitment at a different event, but if I see some positive post-event coverage, I will definitely add NEFI to my list of 'must attend' events.

I'm coming on Friday, for just 1 day. I'll be bringing Wally Williams who built a Slowpoke 40 electric conversion. I've pre-registered and can't wait to come and participate.

The RADIAN Rules
1. Airframe. No modifications to Fuselage Wings or Empennage. No aerodynamic smoothing or profiling wing airfoils.
No Film coverings, you do not have to use the vinyl trim that is supplied with the model but the trim you use must not exceed the area of the original decals.
Wings may be painted up to 50% of their surface area, empennage may be painted but the original mold marks must be visible through all paint. Repairs can be made to the airframe so long as there are no significant changes to the original model.
2. Power System. You can only use the motor and propeller that is supplied with the model; damaged components must be replaced with the same part number. ECS may be of the modelers choosing. Battery is limited to 1400mah maximum and 11.1 volts.
3. Radio System. Radios must be of the 2.4 GHz type.
4. The winner of the contest must submit his/her model for inspection if asked for by the contest CD.
Oh yea, I'll be there!

NEFI attendance

Hi all,

Is registration required to attend without flying or can we just show up and walk around and enjoy the sights for free?

Ken,

No need to register if you don't plan to fly. Spectators are $3.00 per carload, all of which is being donated to our two charities for the event.

We will be having night flying on Saturday after dinner and Hoot Gibson's presentation.

The most well-lighted aircraft wins a prize so dig out those night flyers.

What kinds of planes are allowed to fly ?

Are their any speed and size restrictions ?

Is their night-flying ? Will their be places to fly 3D and sport or will it be one big flight line.

I have never been to this event ... and might make the trip.
