Doesn't Syma make the Double Horse range? Should be good if it's by them. Looks beautiful.

One going on Ebay here;

yeah, there are many offers on ebay for this one. $30 shipped, only question is how does it perform because it looks beautiful.

It's a good indoor (only) heli.
Light enough (like the Blade mSR) to not break much with reasonable care as to what it hits.
The control system is just a bit different.
Right and left spinning is common, and must be controlled by inputting the opposite direction control, which will point the nose in some direction.
The heli will then go in that direction, or back up.
It can't fly sideways.
But I find these fun to fly.

the gyro takes care of the unwanted yaw.
so no direction correction necessary.

I didn't read it that way. SHIPPING is $30, on top of what the bid ends up being. I think this would be a really nice heli if it was put on a copier and enlarged about 3 or 4 times.

I'm FAMOUS
That would pretty much be an S031 Syma.

I do like the canopy on this thing, tho. This is a VERY good-looking copter! I'm intrigued by the statement that trimming is not needed. To be fair, my S107's and Firebirds for the most part are already this tight, I don't recall adjusting much while flying them.

i bought one from xheli. they had a special for $19.99 + s&h, and i used a coupon for 10% off, so total price was $30 shipped (i noticed as soon as i placed the order they took off the special =P). it flies really well, i would imagine if anyone owns a s107 it will fly just like that. here is a video i made of it

i am trying to get rid of the blinking led lights though, i find they are really distracting if youre trying to fly in the dark, or in general for that matter. im thinking of modifying the blinky lights so they give off one color - red and green on each side like nav lights. but i have no idea how =( so if there are any electrical engineers in here willing to help out id be much obliged. ill put a picture of the pcb up when i get home today.

by the way new to the forum, great place!

edit: oh yeah, i got a total flight time of 7:35 (this includes crashing twice) on a full charge

edit edit: here's the pcb. im thinking the 4 black things next to the led controls the flashing. maybe i can replace the little black things or just take them out? if the flashing cant be stopped im just gonna take out the leds

9098 Who is the Creator

I have seen this listed as the double horse 9098 and the Syma 9098. Is it actually made by Syma? I have also seen it with two different controllers?
Anyone have the scoop? thanks
