Happen to find this thread, always loved the looks of this bird. I noted that hobby lobby has not carried them in over a year, can you still purchase these?

I agree the Ta-183 is my favorite WWII Jet even though it never flew. I have 2 different kits of the Huck one 90mm kit from Steve Neill and a 30mm micro Ta-183 I bought from a guy here on Rcg.

Yes the way it looks Hobby Lobby seems to be phasing out the Alfa line completely. Below is Alfa's website you can order directly from them but shipping maybe expensive.

Just checked the conversion rate and the Huck is a little less than $71US....

Does anyone have any idea how much shipping would be from Alfa?

I'm sure it would help a lot, I have a E-flite micro Mig-15 and it fly's like a trainer with the as3x Rx in it.. I have a micro Ta-183 kit that I'm going to build soon and I'm going to put the Spektrum as3x Rx in it to tame it. I didn't know banana put 3 axis gyros in their jets I'll have to look at them. I have a Guardian stabilizer from Eagletree on order should see it around November. I'm going to put that in my 90mm ta-183.

BadLemon- you're going to like the Guardian stabilizer. A friend of mine has one for a 3D foamy and he can put his controller on the ground and the plane will fly the last setting until it runs out of battery.

I agree I have read nothing but great things about the Guardian I hope to get it before it snows! I have a 90mm Ta-183 that was built by Steve Neill that has a wing gyro in it that went bad. Steve told me do not fly the Huck without it. So the Guardian will replace the wing gyro so for now the 90mm Huck will have to set. That is why I'm build the Alfa Ta-183 so I could fly a Huck before Winter sets in. I got the parts I need to finish the Huck but looking at this weekends forecast I may not be able to maiden the Huck.... If I get a window of good weather even for an hour I'll head to the field I'll get video one way or another with a camcorder or a key chain cam will keep you posted.

Here is the last video I shot before I crashed my first Huck

The setup my first Huck had was a alfa 5 blade fan with an e-flite 4100kv inrunner motor with a Castle 36 amp esc and a 11.1v 2200 25c battery. My new setup is the same but I'm using a Erc 4500kv outrunner motor.

here is the link to the Eagle Tree Guardian
