I played around a bit last night, it was a blast. I did have the prop come off on the last flight. Do I just stick it back on there or is the prop ruined?

Also I noticed in a lot of the video's everyones vapor is going a lot slower then mine is for the indoor flight. Any suggestions to get that more floaty type flight for indoor use?

Move the battery back as far as you can.

Any tips on getting the snapped rod out of the prob? It snapped flush so I can't even grab it with a needle nose...

I use a DX7 and mix about 40% "up"elevator with rudder input to stop nose drop in turns. You can always just fly the regular way and add "up" manually but it does make it easy and would help when you let some one fly it.

Nope, you will need a new prop and shaft. I recommend the Champ prop instead of the stock Vapor, MUCH more thrust, but you'll have to glue it on since the hole is too big to screw on to the stock shaft.

Is the Night Vapor a good rc plane to learn to fly with?

I am thinking about getting a RTF for someone that has only flow Air Hogs 2 channel planes before.

I think so. Very slow and lightweight. Plenty of time to make corrections.
Careful though... You could very well be starting them off to a lifetime of addiction.

YES!

That's basically the same path I took when learning to fly RC. I started with Air Hog-type stuff, and then I got a Vapor. They are very forgiving in a crash as long as you aren't full throttling it right into the ground, and they are great learner planes. I also spent quite a bit of time on a simulator as well, but I was able to easily transition into my first parkflyer plane not long after owning my Vapor, a GWS Formosa.

Yes, for sure.
The thing you will quickly notice after some initial jitters is that the Night Vapor is easy to fly and the Air Hogs are difficult comparatively. I rarely crash the Night Vapor, and even with lots of practice had a hard time keeping any air hog up for an entire flight. The hardest transition is getting used to your commands actually reaching the plane reliably!
Once you go up to another plane, be careful because the night vapor is capable of angles and speed that stall most stuff. For that it may not be ideal as a learner.

Yes it is, if you have very calm wind conditions... Meaning practically none at all! Or if you have enough room indoors. Another good choice is the Hobby Zone Champ, 89.99 USD everything you need to fly in the box. It will handle light wind too. (fly with no wind at first recommended though) any breeze at all will quickly ground a Vapor or send it out of sight, it doesn't have the power to push into much of a breeze at all.

I have one of each and they are both great.
