Watch out for the gold Hangar 9 arms. They're too tight & you about have to use a sledge hammer to get them on the splines...

I found some purple arms with 2mm threaded holes from a heli shop that fit good but I don't know the manufacturer...?

Gryo hobbies is primarily for Heli parts but I remember you telling us that Spencer. Good to know, I've done that and by the time you take them off and on a couple times Ive screwed up the bearings or gear set. Thanks Spencer. Jimmi

I picket up 6 from a local hobbie shop. Had to wait two weeks for them due to J/R not having them available to there vendors. They should have there orders caught up by now. I know Chief has them.

Thanks for the tip on the arms.

Ken

Haha, had a couple of those hanger 9 arms for an 40% IMAC plane. Friggen screw snapped getting the thing on. Should have pounded the thing on with a hammer Yikes!

Now I'm going to try to look for some purple one's Don't know why J/R hasn't figured this stuff out. I'm sure they must know what we are putting this stuff through. Hello....

Have you guys ever experienced any glitches using metal arms and clevises? I went to adjust my servo arm on an Airtronics servo and it glitched like crazy when I touched it with a screwdriver. I remember some folks who warned me about metal to metal.

YES! I've seen that before...

I assume Ken is planning on using a ball link with these. That prevents any metal vs. metal sliding...

I've just received 5 x JR DS3288 MGs, to install in my MCT.

And purchased purple-coloured alu. alloy arms (for use with ball joints) marked "J-M3" from RC World.

But haven't yet fitted an arm, as the force required seemed excessive & likely to damage the servo gear set; as Spencer described above.
So hoping that heating the arms will enable me to get them on.
Anyone tried this?

(BTW, even the plastic arms which came with the each servo require extraordinary force to fit. Never used JR servos before. Is this normal?
Seems crazy to me, & never had this problem with any Futaba, Hitec, etc. servos).

Can you nip them up with the screw that holds the arm on? You know, place the arm on and tighten the screw to pull it onto the spindle?
