Successful Maiden!

Hello Pilots! Thank you all for your continued patience! I put the maiden on this MIG-29 today! I just have a few things to share with you all... I'M IN LOVE! This MIG has one of the BEST flying characteristics I have ever encountered. The original beta test version was not near this final production model! First, her overall size is amazing! It is BIG. She holds an Awesome presence at the airfield. The attention to detail is some of the best I have seen! Now to the flight! She flew just as I expected! 60% power and slight elevator input she was in the air. Power is awesome as well! She is not slow by any means! I flew her today in some wind and will try for a second flight for a radar this week! Plenty of power for full speed level passes and from the tone of the twin 70mm EDF's I can say she is spinning at a hefty RPM level. Here is what is impressive. As I had anticipated, the slow flight is what sets her apart. She is flying on Delta mixing so the ailerons and elevators are performing the same directional tasks. I was able to slow her down to a CRAWL and make Super Angle Alpha passes! Next time out I am going to do some Hovering! The front slats and the flaps made for a slow-down to a stop angle passes! I am totally amazed! A small zip on the throttle she thrusts out of alpha with ease. Full speed passes show no bad tendencies at all! No wing flexing, no wing rocking. Tracks super straight and solid! I did have to make my flight with the gears in the down position as I had a clevis come loose in flight. After connecting the clevis, the winds were just to strong to put her up for a second. Will do tomorrow or Thursday! I hate to say it this way, but, WOW with all that wing surface area, it was like flying a BIG trainer! I have attached a few pics! Please feel free to ask any questions! Video will be coming soon!

Happy Flying,

Pete

to me it looks like you flew this huge Mig 29 in a
small space, a local school ??? or something???

look at the inflight photos, the wings need
to be reinforced or you know what :-)

I would remove those bombs and missles
to increase the performance

:-)

It all looks great exept the cartoon canopy. Ruins an otherwise fantastic looking model. If this was a $75-$100 foamy it would be expected but we all know this is going to be a $200-$400 model.
They should have gotten it right.
