Please let this come to RC asap!

Would there still be a market for gas power?
Hey I wish that your dream come true. Imagine have a battery 10X smaller with the same capacity, that would be amazing. Hope this starts to became more popular and cheaper, when it starts they will charge a million for it.

I'm sure the price will drop like a stone. Remember EVERYTHING would use it, cell phones, lap tops, etc.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) it will take "they estimate they could be on the market in three to five years - But the process is changed enough that existing manufacturing techniques are likely insufficient.".

Don't hold your breath for now.

Sure, but 3-5 years is nothing for such a significant change. It will create a revolution in terms of what is possible with RC or Gadgets in general.

I'm betting it will be sooner though, whoever produces it first will have the market cornered.

I've heard all manner of justifications for using Mode 1, but I've
yet to see any full scale aircraft with primary roll and pitch functions on separate controls.

Lol aparently mode 1 is old school. My friend who introduced me to rc is flying mode 1, so I naturally followed suit since he can help me out when I get into sticky situations. Its just hard getting mode 1 transmitters let alone trying to sell one.

Must have been REALLY old school. No one in my parts flew mode 1 even back in the 70's.

Mode 1 came about because the first R/C controllers had just two buttons
utilizing pulse control for elevator and rudder, and folks used
each function with separate hands. Continuing to do that forever
is indeed "old school".
