I'm looking at that new plane from alisha:

seems more interesting that the SW, and similar to my loved EZ (as for stability).

The Skywalker wings are about the same total area as the EZG wings used on that BWEZ.
What it boils down to is how much battery capacity you want to carry. How much
did you have to run 2 hours? If you can maintain 5A draw, then two hours on
10Ah worth of battery is theoretically possible.

I think the advantage of the SW over most of the alternatives, including the one above,
is that the usable space in the fuse extends way back under the wing, so you
can maintain an optimal CG even when doubling the battery capacity. With nothing
but a strip of velcro along the bottom, I can choose between a 2500mAh battery
way up in the nose, or a couple of 4000mAh packs back closer to the CG,
or one in the nose, and one on the CG.. etc.

I don't know if the SW is faster than the BWEZ, but it's capable of moving right along,
but pulling 5A, it's going to cruise at about 25mph.

Hmmm....

My BWEZ* cruises at around 22 mph...When I flew for 2 hours, the plane had a 2s set-up and 8AH aboard. Recently I flew it for 1 hour 50 min, 3s, 9AH aboard, cruising around 26 mph.

I'm not sure why i I get nearly the same endurance with either 2s or 3s set-up, considering one has 50 percent more energy aboard.

I'm sure it's a good plane...I think it looks goofy though...

I can't see much of the plane while I'm piloting it, so I don't much care
what it looks like. The beauty of the SW lies in its clever utilitarian design.
The problem with the plane linked above is, as I said, the fact that it'll have a
much more restrictive cockpit with less (possibly no) usable space under the wing.

+ it looks super fast... fast means more Gs and more flight loads on the same foam style design as the skywalker.

New wing design for the Skywalker 168.

No more extra work to make the wing strong enough to take some hard FPV flying.

Now the Skywalker comes with carbon tube installed in Wing.

All Skywalker from FPVflying.com are shipped with the new stronger wing.

I am considering using an FPV pod (a kit or making my own - not sure yet) for my new SW. Have any of you had any RF issues with the pod? I am a bit concerned about the fact that the Tx will be so close to the pan/tilt servos and a few of the wires. FYI: I'm using a 900/500 Tx with a low pass filter and twisted wires. I know this may be overdoing the protection, but it always makes me nervous when it comes time to launch.

Ok then, so the carbon rod on the picture is just for show, how far will it go in the wing?
And will be replaced with longer one?
