ug the upload for the video failed after 1:30 hr of trying. So I'll try removing components until I can pinpoint the problem.. I'll start with the OSD.

Alrighy, its been brought up, the turnigy AerodriveXp SK Series 35-36 1400Kv/550w, How many amps is it pulling with a 9x4.5 or 9x6 prop. Which prop would you recommend. Climb and duration is key.

Has anyone put their ESC inside the compartment under the wings? Or is everyone going for some form of air cooling? I'm debating with myself if I should put the ESC in the airflow.....

Putting the esc outside in the airflow is never a bad idea...especially if it helps to keep it away from the VTX, RX and UBEC. One less thing to worry about.

I have mine under the wing, but I cut two cooling holes and expanded all the exits.. nice and cool now.

Outside is an option.. I was just hoping to keep the plane neat on the outside... But I'd prefer to have a plane that flys safely, than a good looking plane.

Ashdec87, do you have a photo? Wondering how big you made the holes, and how it looks.

here a couple pictures. Holes are tapered in, used plastic spoons as scoops.

Also you can see where I placed my vtx and other components. Anything that might cause the interference I'm seeing??

Oh and my HD camera is the aptiva.

That looks real neat!

Do you have an outlet as well? Would the airpressure not fill up... and not let a 'through draft' form? Or is that not really an issue? I'm thinking an inlet on one side, the way you have it, and then on the other side, an outlet, which would be the scoop pointing backwards, but aft of the compartment?

And that's just a plastic spoon cut in half? Very clever!

How do you cut the foam so nearly? Mine would be all ripped looking.

lol thanks. Actually I opened the hole in the back (where the wires to the motor go) up and the hole that goes down.. you know what, I'll put a picture of the back up.

Yep just a spoon, and I used a very sharp knife to cut the holes.

That's great! I'm gonna copy you. I assume you have flown, and have not noticed any flames or some as of yet?

Mine pulls static 37 amps, 9x6 APC, awesome climb rate, half throttle is 16 amps, will loiter around at half throttle, I use a 40 amp ESC, Coastaltom decided to play it safe and go with a 60 amp ESC, I think the 40 amp was out of stock...
