I am still using the original grey knitted fabric band that came with my Skywalker (v3). It's made from elastic material similar to that sweatpants and boxer shorts have in the waist to keep them around waist...

The loop is closed with staples under a piece of clear heat shrink and it's long enough to reach front to back around the retaining rods and then back crossed over from side to side.

You can see it here:

No issues what-so-ever with it for many hours of flying during the last two years.

There are people that use 2 loops of velcro. I have changed to a SIG 67 rubber band. What seems to happen so much is that all of a sudden there is a massive pitch change (which is usually the wing lifting) and then there is a problem.
I don't think the wings snap as much as people would like to think.

Well I had a new SW fuse (version 1) in the closet for extra parts and decided it was time to scrap the old fuse I had for the last 3 years and replace it...keeping the original wings though

New: Scorpion 3026-12 motor with 12x6 prop...yes, you can fit a 12in prop on the SW
- And CF reinforced tail and boom

My brother in law asked me to help him spot game in Namibia using my FPV setup. Quite keen to see if it can work out. Just trying to figure out how to pack my Skywalker so it can travel the 2000km and back with 4 people's baggage...

I could always FPV it up from the back seat...

Wow, that's a large prop. Does it increase the performance a lot?

What kind of antennas are these on top of the wings?

I'm not as concerned about cruising performance as much as I am with launch performance and this power setup (motor, batt, prop) is rated for 2.7kgs of thrust which should be more than enough for a fast and steep climb

Although am considering a folding prop for cruising efficiency.
