Airco DH-2 Part deux

My buddy Sean Cassidy liked flying my 18" DH-2 so much I molded a set of wings and some plastic parts, and laser cut him some struts. This evening he stoped by to show it to me. WoW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The detail is amazing on a 18" model. It has a stunning rotary, pitot tubes, fuel lines, ect. Thanks to Flybob for the special material!!

That is very nice. Did you happen to find out what it weighs, or the motor used?

36 grams. It uses the motor and prop from a Playmate.

Some people have way too much free time on their hands, but what they create is a joy to behold. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

That is a beautiful DH2. Hope it flies as good as it looks. I'm impressed with the level of detail on an 18" DH2 (I'm currently working on a 27" one and can appreciate what went into this smaller one).

Brilliant creation!!!

This looks like a museum quality aircraft! Beautiful detail!

But you DO need a pilot -- no WWI plane can fly without one!

It truly amazes me some of the models made from durobatics. nice to see the 18 inch material working well for you.

Molded wings?

You say you molded the wings using .050 DUROBATICS. Could you give us some detail information about the molded wings and how you printed or painted the surfaces. The detail is outstanding!!!!
