Any more info on that Christen Eagle? Amazing flying in such a tight space. Was there a floor to ceiling net to keep those big birds away from the crowd?

Hi Adam,

if I remember correctly, the wingspan of the Christen Eagle was 2m or just avove 2m. RTF she weighs 3.8kg (approx. 8.4lbs).

Yes, there was a safety net all around the flight area - not all the way to the ceiling however - just to the aluminium framework.

Wingspan of the Christen Eagle 2,4m!
The storch has a wingspan of 2,14m and a TOW of 540g!
One problem was the very small space. We only had 25X25m for Indoorflying.
And all of this because of a little misunderstanding.
The biggest ship in the little space was my not completely finished B29 (2,6m wingspan)
We are allready planing on building bigger planes for next year!!!

If you still want more information, just ask for it?!?

-TOW: 550g
-20g motor with a selfmade 1/15 gear

So are all of the large planes scratchbuilt? Made for indoors?

Kits to be made from these? So many questions.

I never, ever would have thought a giant scale biplane could fly indoors in such a confined space. Amazing!
