Well, first, how much weight do you have to add up front to balance it? If it's just a couple of oz, then the heavier pack or motor might be the answer.

Where are your servos mounted? Do you have a receiver pack?

I have the glider version tranformed in a e-glider. As nose is longer banlancing is just right for me with my BL480 6G 4.4/1

so if you have a light motor, it doesn't surprise me that you have some issues balancing it.

I use a 4AA reciever pack, close to CG and the lipo pack in the front

servos and reciever under the wings

I will never flew again without a reciever pack! Newton has won on me with a glider equiped with a BEC!

Just like this glider, probably one of my favorite TD plane

My High Aspect balances well with an AXI 2820/10 motor and a Hyperion 3S 2600 pack about 8 mm back from the motor. I use a CC Ph 80 ESC (more than enough for that motor!), which is positioned on the lipo pack. No extra weight needed beyond those components. The tail servos are under the wing, with the receiver just in front of the servos. AUW about 56 oz.

Thanks for the input guys....my servos are mounted at the CG point and I dont use a receiver pack,The receiver is about 20MM behind the CG...you can look at the pics in my blog.I think the heavier motor might be the answer....the Mega ACn 22/30/3 is 220g,I will be pulling out the PJS its 162g...58g to play with.I also have a Multiplex BL-480/4G but its only 117g.

I take what I call an extended lunch break!

that will be too bad to let all these thermals going away without a glider in it!

Today was great!

The HA was the right sailplane, arround noon, as lift was just trying to establish. this glider is circling so well!

I can put big holes in the Horizontal stab.......

from common experience on a French forum, the CG indicated on different versions of AH instructions varies from 77 to 100 mm !!!
The high aspect flies very well with CG between 81-86 mm from LE (Mine is 84mm ).

What measured CG are you ?

Good point. I fly mine at about 84 - 85 mm back from the LE.

Well, that much weight, put as far up front as possible, would definitely make my HA nose heavy.

I looked at your blog photos, and nothing looks unusual or obviously heavy to the rear of the CG. How did you secure the control rods in the tail boom?

The control rods in the tail boom are in the Sullivan Semiflex Gold-N-Rod....BUT I Just the used the Blue sheath part to run the two small stock push rods in.I cut a 20'' of the Blue sheath part and glued with thick CA.I did this also with my AH Serenity-EV 2.5M electro-glider and really no change with the CG on that plane.........I went with the stock 82 CG.....Sooooo a CG around 87 would work?.
