Am I missing something here, or what is this thread doing on this particular forum? Shouldn't it be on the foamie one?
Nice-looking though it is |

It's a scale kit, that you can make more scale. It's not a ARF!!!!!!

Some people don't care to post with that general crowd. Hang out there for a while and you may realize why. They tend to take things toward the technical/skeptical end with a bit different perspective and appreciation than scale builders often have. I've posted builds in the EDF forums in the past, often to hear comments ranging from skeptical, to it not being fast enough for them when the model is shown to fly. Some companies like to get coverage for their products also. It's not as if that doesn't ever happen in this forum. All summed up it's why I didn't consider a build thread for my Comet, although being balsa, it's still an EDF and an airliner.

Hi,
What's everyone's vote for the best all-around adhesive to use on this bird? |

Not sure you'll get this response from many people in more recent times, but a number of people liked the GWS glue, which can also be used as a contact cement, for foam. I racked some up years ago from a number of GWS builds, and use it from time to time with foam and a few other things.

I know this thread is old and the WR 737 is almost impossible to find nowadays but from the day Mr Ming announced this bird I have been determined to get my hands on one and finally, I have one! I have other airliners too, from Freewing, Supreme and X-Flight but none of them hold a candle to this marvelous product. Mine was painted in the head-turning colors of a now-defunct local airline Mango by her previous owner, not terrible but quite a few things I would have done differently so I am starting over, I'm going to strip her down and repaint and redo the decals and I will be installing the full electrics and equipment from my AL37 which should make for great performance and very scale. I design bespoke interiors and liveries for real-world BBJ's so it was very tempting to do a BBJ but I think I'll keep her as in Mango colors in honor of the much-loved airline that unfairly died.
I don't know about flaps but I will be adding the AL37's lights and spoilers. BTW my AL37 is being painted up in another such loved livery here from a local airline celebrating our rugby world cup win. I don't know if anyone here even cares anymore but I will post details of my refurb. Happy Landings |
