Great film

Mexico,

Great film!
It is a shame about all the small airports that have gone on to housing projects or golf corses. I have seen many go this way since I got my pilots license in 1986.

Exactly what happened to the airport where I learned to fly... Marlboro airport in NJ. Funny thing is they sold it to developers back in 2001 and its still there, un-changed, rotting away...

Saw One Six Right a year or two back. I learned to fly at Van Nuys Airport back in the '70s. I'd go out and fly early on Saturday or Sunday mornings and have the pattern pretty much to myself while I shot touch-n-go's in a taildragger. I bounced one landing pretty good and hip hopped for a couple of hundred feet. The tower came on the radio and said "...I liked 2 and 4 the best."

Lots of history there and I imagine if you poked around in the corners you'd still find lots of cool airplanes squirreled away.

Absolutely the best aviation documentary I have ever seen. Really good to see the part about Meigs Field. I flew over it right after they dug the x shaped trenches. Chicago is a corrupt piece of $#$%#!!!!!!

Retired Pilot and Missing the Freedom of Flight

Great film. Like many pilots, I watched bulldozers destroy one of the greatest flying fields around, Sand Point Naval Air Station in Seattle. Very sad to loose this one.

Thanks for sharing. Although it's no longer on Hulu, it is available to watch on YouTube (link below). There are a few sound issues, but they aren't horrible.
