It's like goofy of the airplanes, so fun to watch and makes you smile at it's antics. What a little orange character, you gotta love it

And i do love it!

Just gotta move my control rod. Have way more R rudder movement then L. Have to be way careful or im going to snap the horn. Because the rudder was off center and i had to put full trim to center

This plane does have its own happy little personality! I always thought it would be neat to put some Goofy eyes on the front windshield!

Ive been meaning to do that. If i just didnt get done fixing my wing id be spending that time doing that. Im not sure if i am going to use white marker or those plastic glue on eyes with the pupil that rolls around inside.

Would be more weight but it would be forward wieght which is good. Im already taping a nickel underneath

One week into my R/C flying career, and what do I have to tell about it? A completely snapped tail, a snapped off wing, and almost completely losing it. What a lucky day!
That's a great read!

Flyin' low & slow T-28s!

I hit the sack @ midnight and I'm back up @ 5:30 for a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee.
Got the news on already. I'm watching the rallies in NYC and DC while eyeballing the Champs to decide which one's gonna go play in a few hours.

Also, got my UM T-28 fixed after using it as a lawn dart. Should be good to go.

I've decided to dismantle the Cessna Sky Trainer for now (not selling) and put it back in its box until I learn to fly better. I need a few more months on the Super Cub and my Champ, UM T-28 and UM Corsair.

On perfect, windless days, I'll take out the two warbirds. Maybe 3, since Viper's got me loving those Jugs now (P-47 Thunderbolt)! That plane's beautiful, man.

So the Champ and "T" are gonna get a lot more attention this summer. (It gets so hot here that I'll have to fly between 6 & 7am or lose 2 lbs in sweat.)
In fact, I'm already harvesting tons of tomatoes from the plants I started back in early March.

Amen. Show some love for the troops.

As for the spur of the moment, many sirens flaring lightss, etc in and around nyc.

And american anthems on the radio.

Not at all a issue with getting around.

This good ole american boy from new york city, reportin in.

Flying the red, white, blue colors on my champ today.

Enough said and back ontopic:

Thanks for the links for the adp.

The 500 should be the heaviest batt hmm.

Yeah no 180's maybe I'll trade some 150's I rarely used, bought , thinking I needed them.

Sitting next to a highway, calm as can be there is a lake, no near field dam I need my fix, no rain today, and 17mph winds at home they say .

Always another day to fly.

Some things transcend the sharing that goes on here in this forum, and the extinction of Bin Laden is one of them. I suggest you stop "spamming" our right and jubilation in reacting to this news. How many members of YOUR family, or friends, died at the hand of this despicable person and his minions on 9/11?

This subject will diminish quickly here, but for the moment it is worthy of mention, and our need to revel in the news that a small amount of justice has been achieved for what happened to all of us on that fateful day.

Sir, you have dishonored nearly 3,000 innocent people who died that day, and you have deeply offended me and untold others with your comments.

Why not go away for a few days then and mourn his passing?

@JLT_GTI: I find it extremely offensive that you are attempting to control what we are sharing as friends here.

Contributing to the Problem

Guys, Please...

I too am deeply satisfied and moved by the news of obl's death. I personally hope that he has found his paradise to be populated by 82 virgin sows.

Now, I've posted on a totally nonChamp topic. I'm one of the guilty.

As soon as we start posting political opinions on here, we cant help but change who we are to each other. I cease to be "Greg the guy with a Champ" and become "Greg the flaming liberal hippy democrat union born and bred progressive who has a Champ". Or something.

A really helpful single brand motorcycle forum has become a laughing stock because it became so full of those expressing certain political views that many came to feel unwelcome. Guys I was helped by online became people i wouldnt have felt comfortable around on a wknd ride, because we had exposed our political leanings on the forum. Let us not allow that to happen here, please.

Single comments about signifigant events are certainly warranted, but let's not turn this into a "I love my country more than you do" p***in' match.

Peace Out, End of Rant,
Greg

PS...I love my Champ more than you do.

DX5e fatal flaw- PM me!!!!
We *actually had* a brief bit of time here in CNY with little or no wind... Oh man is it nice flying the Champ and the T28 micros when there's no wind, just letting go of the sticks and watching them parade by without getting flipped upside-down every 10 seconds.

Also had some rare smooth non-gusty winds, also nice.

Dave
