hey jumbo shrimp is real. u ever seen a bag of 4/6 freshwater shrimp? it means for every pound of shrimp there is an average of 4-6 shrimp per lb. that means a quarter pound shrimp.
those wings struts were exactly what i was thinking of since i broke my wing off about 1/4" from the fuselage. but i can honestly say dont worry about only using tape to fix the wing. i did one strip of tape from the top of the wing and wrapped it under and back over and threw it back up to keep on flying with no problems... lol.
these planes are quite amazing.
and i also thought i would point out that the mini cub rtf is the same price in the horizonhobby outlet store by me but how could it possibly be as amazing and indestructible as the little champ?

P-51 is a great plane no doubt but any winds (like above 2 or 3 mph) and it tends to flutter about, so you need to be quick on the sticks, No doubt a T-28 is the same way without the AS3X.

My T-28 does great at handling the wind. The P-51, not so much!

Don't know where you're located, but I 've gotten a lot more flying time here in NJ this winter than I anticipated. It all comes down to luck and knowing what's going on with the weather.

We have had winds of over 30 mph the last two days. Tomorrow things should be calm as high pressure will be overhead before another storm comes in this weekend. After that Monday is the next day that looks promising.

Looks like I'll be a few minutes late for work again tomorrow

guess it is how we all look at it. I chose to settle back and wait for a better window. the window does not look promising at all. at least till it clears out

Calm, pleasant weather is coming.....

Meanwhile, I'll just remember that little yellow & orange beauty is sitting there,
snug in its box, ready to fly!

i lost a battery, now i only have 6, grrrrrr

i think im ready for the micro t-28 but a couple questions. since ailerons will turn the plane, will i need to use rudder at all? what confuses me is on videos the plane spins when people use ailerons, it does not turn. or maybe im wrong.

also, elevator will need to be neutral or does that need to be trimmed too?

Ailerons will turn a T-28. It flys pretty much like a Champ. The wings flex up in flight to make the plane very stable in roll, so it turns instead of rolling axially with aileron input.

It will eventually roll with full aileron input, but it isn't very axial.

You'll need the rudder stick to taxi with wheels and to make turns tighter.

The rudder also helps speed up rolls.

.
UNGN - You are always teaching me stuff. How do you apply rudder to speed up a roll? That's new to me.

I think you just rudder the same direction you're using ailerons and the roll-coupling makes it roll quite a bit quicker but I'm not sure. Awaiting UNGN's response
