Is there a proper procedure for putting the white servo gear back on?
It was working fine until I knocked it off. Thought I could just pop it back on but now it doesn't move smoothly. It was a brand new brick and a brand new gear. Wasn't around glue or anything that could have gotten into the gear. Now it sticks and makes a terrible noise when you power-up and move it. |

Champ with 808#16 Keychain Camera
Tried doing some video yesterday with the #16. I probably should have put a foam wedge between the Champ and the #16 for better quality.

Hey Goob, your Son did great. I laughed through the whole video. He knows how to relax. ahahahahahahaha
I have replaced damaged gears on my servo. Just pushes on. Check it with a mag lens and make sure there is no dirt or chipped teeth on it. Lee |

Champ brick dead? Check for the power wires to it. Try wiggling them. Might be able to solder a new on to it. I bet there is a power loss problem. Like on the other end that goes on the battery. Maybe a pin slipped. You can prolly fix that brick. Lee

I'll keep it for spare servo parts etc. but the UM P-51 brick and motor have it screamin right now. When I get home and apply the good advice...it will be operating with the TX right also. Gotta love RCG! (That's a dang good idea to check for pin in the connector, I'm gonna check that out) |

RGS, I am almost positive it has to do with your power not getting to the brick. You should be able to solder a new connector to it and fix it. Do you have a new connector. They are like $2 or $3. PM me your addy and I will send ya one. I bet you could plug a batt into a new connector and hold the wires to the brick and it would work. At least I hope it will. Lee

Yes you can on any basic four channel. Wont work on something like the stryker. I still use the rtf tx myself. Would rather buy another plane than a dx6i haha. When I get a plane that im not able to control well on the rtf then ill get one. I only have the champ, a msr, and um t28 right now. Plan on getting the p51 and sukhoi still. Im sure I can prob tame the p51 on low rates. The sukhoi will probably be the one that makes me go oh shat I need some expo haha.

So I pulled the gear and put it back on a few times last night - hoping to get lucky and have it sit correctly. It now rolls smooth but sounds terrible. Hard to hear in the video but you can see the difference.
Oh well....it'll still fly correctly! Video link: http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y16...326_220516.mp4 |
