That is good to hear. I should be able to fit it into mine. If not, the backup plan is to use the family minivan.

Mine is coming along nicely. All servos are in, wing and fuselage work is finished. I need to put in the motor and electronics, install the wings, weigh, balance, adjust throws and it should be all set. I am also waiting for a new prop, I want to try a 3 blade on this to see if I can get enough power out of it. Overall it has been coming together quite nicely.

Here's mine so far. Servo's should be here Friday afternoon hopefully. Already have the esc I'm going to use. Still need to figure out what motor but the New Hyperion ZS series looks like the one.

FYI, I have received a notice from Hyperion about a correction on the CG location of this plane: It basically states that the 65mm in the manual is too far back and it should be 35mm of the leading edge of the lower wing. In case you didn't get the same message.
I haven't balanced mine yet and I would move it a bit forward in any case, but probably not this much. It would have been an interesting maiden... CV |

Yeah, I have to see how mine will turn out. I had everything mounted, but I am having a wobble issue and I think the collect adapter might be bend slightly or it doesn't center properly. I have another one on the way to try out. If that also doesn't work I am going to switch out the motors and try a Hacker. I am not so hot on the whole collet idea in this size of a plane anyhow. Otherwise it is good to go, shooting for a maiden this weekend if I can sort all that out.

I have tried a couple more props last night. Looks like the issue is more relevant to prop and spinner balance. I wanted use a 3" Dubro spinner, but at this size, it is almost impossible to make sure the nylon back plate is straight so there is no vibration. I am going to go slightly smaller on the spinner, also I have a few Xoars on the way as well. I was planning on using the Turnigy 3-blade electric props, but they seem to be way out of balance. If the new stuff arrives this week, the weekend looks good weather wise.

I missed this plane at a hobby shop 45 minutes away from me by about 1 hour. I own the E-Flite Pitts model 12 and would really have loved to have got this one. If I had known they had it I would have had them hold it for me.
Great looking plane guys, thanks for sharing! |

I have got mine from AllERC, not sure who else sells it. It seems like it went out pretty quickly. The only other place I knew was R/C Dude Hobbies but they seem to be out of stock as well. Hope you can find one.

I spoke with Bob from AlleRC back when it was 1st launched and the plan is to reorder the plane if it is popular enough. Looks like it is. Bobjf, if you really want one send an email to AlleRC to find out when the next shipment is coming in. I'm sure others are curious as well. |

Do we have any maidens of this one yet?
I was hoping to be done this weekend but while testing the new spinner and the prop, it came loose and damage the cowling. I will have to fix that. I will also change the motor and go with one where I can bolt on the prop adapter. That pushes the maiden a few weeks out for me. |

The Hyperion warehouse is also out of stock and waiting for the next production run. Best estimate is 3-4 weeks. Regards.. Bob ALL e RC www.allerc.com |
