The A123 1100 shot gun barrel will not fit,
or in line [will not travel far forward in the nose]. The battery [2/3 A 1500, two horizontal] on the right fits perfect and is removable without much effort. Alvaro Quote:

Not all MKS servos are limited to 4 cells. The 6125, 6125 mini, and the 6125 h are. There is not a 4 cell restriction on the MKS website for the 6125 e.
Be careful with the non HV JR 378 servos on unregulated LiFe packs. One of the F3F guys on the West Coast had both 378 servos on the ailerons fail in a Freestyler. I've heard of other failures as well. That said, I've heard plenty of people say they have had no issues running unregulated LiFe packs with JR and MKS servos. For me, as much as I like LiFe packs, I elected to go back to using 4 cell NiMh packs to minimize the risk of servo failure/reduced life and not have to deal with a regulator. FWIW Tom |

A123 1,100 side-by-side fits
This config fits in the I2 nose and is easily removable.

Gordon, I am glad you had the expereince you did vs. what happened in Dayton to my Zenith, it was a bummer.
As far as JR servos and higher voltages, I have used a mix of HV and regular servos and not had any issues on unregulated LiFe batteries. Just so those of you that have not used LiFe's before, off my Thunder Power charger, I am running about 6.7V fresh off the charger. I also do hook up the balancer so I can see indivisdual cell voltages and pack voltages just to be diligent. It settles to about 6.5-6.6V in about 5 minutes and stays there. I do usually do a charge during the day just as a peace of mind, but most days, I use between 500-600mah and that is about 1/2 capacity. Marc |

Alvaro- 73 ounces? Ouch? If that's a recent version, that's about 4-5 ounces heavy. Don is guesstimating my newest one to finish out in the 65 ounce range. (I expect to beat that) We'll know by the weekend. Don has really done a great on his continuous improvement program. D |

Does anybody have an extra fuse laying around. Broke mine by the stab mount.

Thanks for the battery replies... Since I'm using MKS servos on my flaps, I've dropped a cell off the front and now have no problem getting the 4 - 2/3A cell pack in and out.

Hey guys,
I'm in Virginia, putting my latest I2 together. I have to say I am really impressed with the quality of the kit. It's going together much nicer than my previous versions. This one is a full carbon version. It'll be my practice workhorse in preparation for the worlds. Should be about 67 ounces. I'll have it done by next weekend and I'll post the weights. Enjoy your weekend D |

Here we go kids,
Full carbon version RTF: Left Tip and joiner: 7.6 ounces Right tip and joiner: 7.75 ounces Center panel: 27.2 ounces Fuse/stab/rudder: 21.9 AUW = 64.5 ounces... This one only took 19 grams to get it to CG. You know me, I've been whining about required nose weight.... Thanks Don. Flying tomorrow somewhere over Virginia. We'll see ya'll at J in the Desert and the SWC. D |

Daryl flew nicely today with his new ship. Owing to the light weight it can ping pretty hard.
