Question

GPV-1 Alum rear sprocket?

either I'm doing something wrong or my chain isnt setup right but Ive split two of these rear sprockets on light bobbles/crashes i tried searching didn't see any information on a metal rear sprocket i checked with Bruce as well

do i have too much chain lash? could that cause the breakage? or am i missing something?

Thanks
Tim

There isn't a venom alloy sproket but look for coug on this board. He does some beatifull work w/ cnc. He does allu rims, hub, and sproket at a good price. That's about all I can recomend.

Two things:
1/. try to get on the brakes when you crash not hold the throttle still on.
2/. check the chain tension when the rear of the bike is fully compressed. make sure it is not to TIGHT in the situation. the chain may seem loose in normal stance but it tightens up under suspension movement and that can cause the sprocket to crack with the extra loads on it.

Eden

as for Al sprocket (or steel) I have seen aluminium wheels and sprockets from the Kyosho HOR adapted to the venom bike.

You can consider to use either,
1. the kyosho wheel with the steel sprocket or
2. Alu rear hub for Venom, from ZH racing, by using the alu rear hub, you have to use the ZH/oto alu rear wheel as well.

Unfortunately these aren't available to any one outside South Africa, but they are pretty sweet.

the rear wheel is a direct fit for kyosho to venom using kyosho sprocket and the plastic brake disk. The rear tire fit too. The front tire not 100% sure but think it is too wide and will rub on the fork.... For the sprocket just use the ZH one (need to use ZH rims too) as the quality is very good and they least forever.

I do not think that the swingarm will fit on the Venom but maybe the sprocket and rear wheels could be used but that is just speculation.

Coincidentally, I just put this swingarm set on the website.

Hi Bruce

the sprocket rear for kyosho is in the same way that the poison? it is important whether the string goes for venom. Thanks.

It is true, sorry for the translator.
