Love it.

Love what you've done with the Astro van. I can't say if I've ever seen one with four matching wheels.

Finally got my numbers-matching '87 GN back, after ~7 yrs in storage. Lots of storage damage - underhood corrosion, brittle plastic filler panels between the bumpers & body panels, dead A/C, etc. She still runs great, though.

Drove her from Warroad MN down here to the 'Cities yesterday. Made the ~360 mi trip without having to stop for gas. Got ~25 MPG & I wasn't babying her. In fact, 3 people wanted to stoplight race me on Hwy 2 near Grand Rapids, MN. I showed a new 'Vette her taillights in a 0-60 stoplight run. Ditto for a V12 Mercedes & a Hellcat.

The ol' girl still has a few tricks up her sleeve, despite being 34 yrs old.

Had to relearn how to program all of the stuff in the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X889 audio system I installed years ago.

Just asked my buddy with a stock C8. He says he'll do a 0-60 pull against your GN for $10,000. He lives in Minnetonka and he's free all weekend.

You in?

I'm gigging with the band this weekend. Heading out in a 1/2 hour. Plus, I don't race for money.

My GN does 0-60 MPH in 3.6-3.7 sec on street tires. Pretty sure the 'Vette driver lost traction off the line. However - the Hellcat hooked-up well, but still didn't have a chance. Ditto for the V-12 Mercedes.

Soon to be taken apart for a basic restoration. Been in my possession since the early 90s.
The thing about owning a GN is that virtually everyone else that owns a bad ride wants to try their hand at whooping a legend. They *could* be considerably faster but the legend of the turbo buicks just seems to call them out all on it’s own. Lol. It’s like candy they can’t resist.

Sweet! Good luck on the rebuild! Is that a real GNX?

The GN is a lot like the mighty P-47 in a LOT of ways - including the "enemy" wanting to take a shot at downing the legendary plane, along with the use of an intercooled turbo on the GN & the widespread use of the Jug's legendary WEP (alcohol injection) on GNs.

It's been 6+ yrs, so I had to rediscover gas stations in the general metro that have 100 octane unleaded at the pump. Now that I have a few options, I reinstalled my race chip & turned the boost back up to 22 pounds. That's good for 425 HP & nearly 560 lb of torque at the rear wheels in overdrive.

She runs best at that power-level on 100 octane unleaded race gas or 130 octane AvGas - but with "WEP" engaged, she can handle 22 pounds of boost on 91 octane pump-gas premium with zero knock-retard.

Now she's back to her mid 3-sec 0-60 MPH, high 11-sec 1/4-mi, and ~170 MPH top-end power level.
