Just trying to get a nut.

Daniel/Craig,
I used the ds30 install procedure. This is what the screen returns.
Unfortunately, I do not observe any changes to the DOSD+. Any ideas?
Again, thank you for your help and patience.

No. I get the same error.

I tried reloading again. Here's what the screen displays in the end:

So does it mean the DOSD is at least talking to the PC?

Version 6.0 of Firmware displayed?!
Wow... that's from before electricity, I think! Maybe even predates Daniels birth! hehe...

Daniel will have to assist with getting that board updated. V6 is very old, unless I am seeing that picture wrong.

LOL...Indeed it is Version 6.0...

Despite its "age", duly note how good it is though...Autopilot works, display is excellent...Clearly demonstrates the brilliance of Daniel's work.

OK... And you're using ds30 to upgrade to 16.x, and it seems to say it did it successfully - but the screen still displayed V6.0?
(PC Commander will fail, by the way, as I think it' supports maybe V11 upwards or something. V6 was before my day... Before Noah's day, actually! hehe)

scrtsqrl,

You need to check the "Write program" checkbox or it won't do anything.

So when I buy the DOSD it will come with the newest software/firmware or do I need to do that myself? -Tyler

I think John updates them - but updating is mickey mouse anyway. In the time that Johns sends, and it arrives, there may be a newer version out.

Check to make sure. Mine had ver15.0

Once you get the latest version of PCC on board, it does everything for you, including DL the latest OSD files, unzipping them, and installing them for you.

I upgraded both PCC and DOSD about a week ago. . it took a grand total of 10 minutes.

Very nice work, btw.

Just checked with FedEx. . my IMU will be here Friday. .ought to have it flying Saturday. Will have video for sure. .want to see that AH working on the screen. Then we'll start some longer distance stuff.

BTW. . how are you guys liking the HeadPlay goggles? I'm going to invest in a set of goggles soon, and this one look like it will do the job.

Plan on doing some upgrading. The DOSD+ programming keeps improving so what was new when last was loaded might be different from once received. The download process is a pretty much non-event with PCC.

That's the ticket.

IT WORKS!!!

The new Firmware is in.
I've noted different menus and in particular, Compass modes, of which I've loaded 7.
I've already uploaded a route using DOSD+ Config.

Thanks again for your help gents.

Hopefully, I get to test out automatic waypoint navigation tomorrow.

THANK YOU, again!!!

I got that same error that scrtsqrl got yesterday when connection my DOSD. I think it happened because I powered the DOSD up before opening up PCC. I just rebooted the DOSD and it connected fine.

I read the first 50 pages of the OSD manual and it all makes pretty good sense, only thing I don't get it how come theirs an audio out, but no audio in?

1) Am I supposed to just tie in the audio from the DOSD with the audio from the camera? Would that even work?

2) My VTX and cam are 12V... they will receive their power from the DOSD? Or do I need to have seperate wires going to them?

Sorry for the noobish questions but I want to get this going ASAP. -Tyler
