All the grounds of all the devices needs to be connected.

Daniel
it is power by a 2s lipo, pin ground and pin 4-16v yes i understand the video wire cam in and video out..basically one wire that passes through the DOSD+ and yes it is grounded in the cam. and vtx connection.
took a pic..

Can you try it without the PPM cable connected and see if the problem persists? I'm just wondering if something might be affecting the video sync detection.

barok,

You need to take out the power and put it back after your remove the PPM line. Could you try that - start the OSD without the PPM line connected and see if the problem persists.

Hi Daniel & John, great little piece of technology, well done to the both of you.
I powered it all up tonight, and everything is working fine I am happy to say.

One question, OSD mode 3 diagnostics is slightly off screen even though safe-zone X and Y are moved across. You have probably already fixed this in a firmware update.

Also, just a suggestion, what are the chances of getting the GPS co-ordinates to display in different selectable ways, eg DMS or DMS.s rather than just decimal degrees.
Another firmware update in the future perhaps.
It might be a strange request, but we have reasons for wanting DMS.s and have to convert D.d to DMS.s before we can use the numbers.
What do you think.

Thanks again, she's a beauty.

RolandS888,

That's a good suggestion - let me see about adding that it into the next firmware revision. As for the diagnostic screen, I didn't really put in the safezone management because it was something I didn't think people would use much. Let me take a look at that. Glad that you're liking the thing. Can't wait to see more pictures posted.

Regards,
Daniel Wee

I dont mean to push you Daniel, but I (like everyone else probably) would love to see some accessory modules for the DOSD+.
Whats the first on the list, and whats the time line?
Sorry if this has already been asked previously.
Keep up the great work
Cheers,
Roland

Roland,

Actually you can already buy the accessories from Sparkfun (some of them at least). Not sure which ones you are thinking about but if you look at the following link, you will find that I have included links to where you can buy various accessories. The only two you cannot buy (yet) are the air speed and one of the two supported barometric sensor modules. They are awfully easy to make though (only about 3 or 4 components each module.) There is another barometric module you can buy from DIYDRONES which I have included support for but have not been able to test being that they were out of stock when I was ordering stuff.

Currently available modules:-
1. GPS - (various) MTK, U-blox, Venus, SiRF
2. SFE magnetic compass (tilt-compensated) - includes accelerometers
3. DIYDRONES ArduIMU+ V2 (needs custom firmware from me)
4. IF temperature sensors
5. SFE current sensor (needs a small modification)
6. Flytron current sensor (recommending the new design to be released soon over older Allegro sensor)
7. DIYDRONES barometric sensor (for altitude) - includes temperature sensor

DIY sensors
1. Airspeed sensor
2. Barometric sensor (much cheaper than DIYDRONES) - includes temperature sensor

http://forum.tsebi.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=63

In the meantime, I have added your suggestion for the DMS displays. The latest firmware, which you can download from the support site, supports the older decimal display, as well as DMS.s and DM.mmm which you can select from the menu.

Daniel

Renato.... WHOO HOO! Man... I was eager for you to get that soon!

For those who downlaoded the 4.7 firmware (to which ttl044 worked with Daniel to further improve the firmware).. another one has been added later on that day ... 4.8. The firmware keeps getting new stuff added on to do more and accepts more. Keep the positive input flowing guys so everyone can enjoy this even more!!! Thanks!

John
