I use the linked FRSKY receiver which has PPM and RSSI output.
The only thing KI concern is its shorter range compared to Futaba.

Are you running the newer Dipole antennas? they make a huge difference!

Does anyone know if the 3.3v line is the main power for the DOSD or does it have any other voltages above that? Im planning on putting a supercap on the 3.3v and a standard cap on V IN to help protect against the oddity of a brownout.

I'm planning to make your gps mod and using an external linear power supply using a supercap on it. The power supply from DOSD, if I remember well, is a switching power supply and is a little noisy compared to a linear one. May be this help you.

I need a O-Scope I really need to see what the systems are doing... the real world testing proves things work but I would rather be able to factually show the filter performances, and trace boards...

Saw some of those "iphone" and "Android" ones but that will not work to trace the DC lines on the board.

I want to get my DOSD running even better than even the newer OSD's out there

Ill have to get the specs again... If you look through IBCrazys threads he has a basic dipole build... they are easy!

The newer ones shipped (probably after AUG2012) have a newer antenna design supposedly, haven't ordered any others lately.

Ill see if i can find them again...

Thanks Chris. I already read most of it.

I'm already confused. The board has video in/out but only audio out. Where is the audio in or do you bypass the board all together?

no clue...

Just splice the audio together if you use it...

Audio from camera or mic just splices into the audio from the DOSD to the TX.

No sorry about that. I was going to coment and had a brain fart. It was totaly wrong so i deleted it and that was all i could think of to do.

Asfar as the audio gos you can tap the out put of the DOSD to the mic and use the varometer or audio prompts in the osd.

I was thinking of the telemetry for the MyFly tracker and thats where i had made the mistake.

Again sorry for the confution.
