Also, have two planes that I m using DOSD on. . my Cularis, and my Large Gas powered Drone RPV. Both have been above 6000' AGL and out as far as 4 miles. I'd really love to get into the Beta program so I can take the Drone up to 15,000' without having to worry about the antenna staying focused on the plane that high and far out. Krisw |

sync;d videos of todays flight
I uploaded two videos, one on vimeo, and one on Youtube, of todays flight with the Cularis. the Vimeo is the KeyChain cam. I have them synced so that if you start them at the same time, you will see both views in the windows at the same time, sync'd within 1 second of eachother. Next video project is to do Picture inside Picture.
The vimeo should be ready to go about 8:15 ET tonight. it's interesting watching both vids. . First off the on-board FPV cam needs some work, dunno why the video is the way it is, but I suspect I got a so-so camera and it needs to be replaced with a better unit. I'll do some trouble shooting tomorrow and see if I can get the video to improve with that camera. here is Vimeo:
Here is youtube;

Oh...that looks/sounds good Virgis. I'd love to knock both Mike and Kris over and steal their spot in 'tester' line. I'm headed on my yearly 3-week vacation (outside of the U.S.) in March so wouldn't be able to flight test. I guess Mike and Kris can duke it out between themselves still. I'll sit back in the wings and watch the progress. This is GREAT stuff!!!
Mike...did you test the Mongoose IMU and translator board yet? With all that free time I thought you'd have a progress report of me...er...us by now! |

Nope, not heading to Mexico. We have a retirement house if the Philippines. One day (year actually) we'll make that more permanent move. Ohh...I can fly year round...in WARMTH!!!! That's several years down the road though...so more boring desert video with no trees, grass, etc in view for a while. |
