Super size me!

CC180, with additional 4 capacitors...

Bernie from CC suggests that this helps with voltage ripple and is a solid mod at higher watts. I also read on here somewhere that 10 capacitors total is about the point of diminishing return. There is an older CC125 thread that discusses which capacitors to order.

Maybe some stupid questions, but my knowledge of electronics is not very good:

-Can you use as many capacitors as you like (find the room for)?
No drawbacks if you use more than necessary?

-Can you use different capacitors?

-Dose size matters?
4 big instead of 10 "small"?

kris, I have SUPER caps from rubycon that are not yet the us market. They are zlk, which is thaatest gen of zlh. I was told that for low gsr, these have the biggest ripple current rating ever. After sending some to eric and dbox, I have 40 odd left. Shoot me an email if you want to tro some.

I tested out a cc125 with my super-caps yesterday.

On 5s, the controller handled 292 amps on 5s (4500 max amps). I put some pretty big cooling holes in the plane, and the caps reached 130 degrees in flight. Other than that, zero problems!

Yup, the green and red one and the dlg at the end of the runway. Were you the guy flying a cyclone that made the hot liner look like a foamy?
