Well, considering you run 1100W rather than 700W (recommended FJ ULTRA setup) you should be faster, otherwise 400W waisted in heat losses would melt your model.

The question is: How efficient is your setup compared to the recommended setup? Do you have noticeably better performance, or is there only a marginal difference and the added power is just mostly waisted in heat losses in battery, ESC and motor?

Like anything you want to make go faster its a law of ever diminishing returns. IE it takes more and more input to get smaller and smaller increments of improvement. See drag racing, F1, WRC and funjets...

i can tell you that mysetup copared with the multiplex, is faster and consumes less amps. we made the experience with the watmeter and the multiplex setup only with 3s the reading was 75amps and 703Watts with the same prop.My reading was 950w and 64 amps with 3s.
Wen i fly with a friend, is very easy to notice the diference of speed in full trothle passes with the same batterys.

In order to achieve 950W with just 64A requires a voltage of 14.844V under load. That's impossible with a 3s Lipo.

Hello guys

5cell setup is by far the best setup i have ever had on a funjet. I had the opinion that this plane must be as leightweight as possible but i reconsidered. . Not good video quality but you can see for yourshelf .

1100 grams, 80amps max. Heatsink on battery and motor. 210 km/h

Well, it is really hot over here, so i am taking it slow.

Carbon fibre spar sanded and glued into the center fuselage with Slo-Zap. Outer wing panels glued onto the fuse and spar using Slow-Zap. To improve torque transfer from wing to spar I used two lines of Beli-Zell on both sides of the spar (I used white one for better visibilty ).

WOW Jurgen looks to me like it will be stiff and rigid as hell. Love the silver look. Looks like a NASA prototype gone mach 15. Beautiful!! Yeah good call on the sanding of the spar, and the epoxy glue or whatever u used. I cannot stress to people that when your going top SPEEDS, reinforcement is really important. Thats why in a dive people wonder if there servos are failing or if the wing is just really flexing making you think one is failing. Nice job as always Jurgen!

Beli-Zell is not epoxy, but PU-glue. Epoxy should not be used on Elapor.
