Nobody has accused you "making things up".

Contrary to the description, the picture in above link clearly shows a MPX/Graupner Speed prop.

As mentioned in this thread before, the Graupner Speed prop 6x5.5" performs much better than the APC 6x5.5" on the FJU. Normally MPX uses APC props, but there is a good reason they made an excemption here.

I have wondered the same thing. They mention APC twice in "Tech" notes. That is why I shyed away from their offering a month ago and the part numbers weren't making sense.

It was pretty good day. Went to the RCx expo and still had time to put in two flights on the plane before the sun set.

I had a chance to play around with a doppler program during the week. That can be a little frustrating to figure out and depending on where you plot, can offer different readings. So, I am working on trying to get some consistent readings with the radar gun.

We experimented with adding some foil to the bottom of the plane to aid reflectivity. Fastest recorded today was 122 mph on stock motor and prop and 2250mah 3s pack. I need to go out in the field and stand by the gunner instead of 50 feet away, so I can line up better and get consisitency.

Got to test the speed on my Funjet today. Unfortunately, I was having some issues that I later resolved, which kept me from WOT for more than 4 to 5 seconds. So, I could have built up a few more MPH's.

Two radar guns, 16mph winds, down wind runs, up wind runs.......... several passes, little math

My setup is good for a solid 130mph.

I hit 146mph out of a dive, down wind.

Trying to figure out my new Video camera, but I got some of the passes.

I will post them tomorrow.

Now it's time for new batteries and more prop!!

There are quite a few FJU with turbines in Germany, but in our club, it is just one guy.

I liked the idea of attaching the motor in reverse will have to try rigging simillar prop mounting option by drilling & tapping the fan unit of my motor but would have preferd to mount it internally by installing the motor mount from behind. Thanks for the inspiration will try mounting my scorpion hk 3026-1900kv setup this way.ordering my 2nd funjet ultra for it.

Pics of my MFJ

I know this is not the FJU, but I couldn't find a thread for the MFJ that was't closed. So here are some pictures of my MFJ with DonsRC 3000kv motor running on 2200 20c 3s. It is very stable, and lots of fun, as its name implies. It is not supersonic, but is still plenty fast for me. The vertical climbs are pretty impressive also. I am running an EMP 4.5x4.5 prop. It was pretty difficult to get pictures of it screaming by. My buddy has a super high tech camera though and he always gets some great shots. If anyone has a link for an active thread on the MFJ, I would appreciate it. If on the other hand, this thread is MFJ friendly, then thats cool too.
