Thanks. I cleared cache and ditched a couple of browsers, SRware Iron and Chrome. And the machine is cruising now. A new video is working now. It is of the little Extra.

Not for VIC's eyes... he HATES Innovators..!

I get such good and reliable flights from my INNOVATORS that I have decided it's worthwhile decorating at least one of them.
Since learning the programming system I have set it up to the TOP PERFORMANCE available, changed the blades from foam to wood, set up blade speeds and performance to top levels.

I am setting up the transparent windows ( blackened from the inside - really well done ! ) and will attempt to create a HUGHES TYPE tail surface if it should continue to yield good flights.
The THunderTiger provided FiberGlass fuse is really well made, lighter than the one I have on the TREX-450 made by Heli Artist.

will post pics. when its finished and flown.

Just finished another flight on the mCP X , in 104F heat. Tried the throttle hold from a low altitude for the first time, worked like a charm and the heli fell on the grass without breaking anything , "for the first time also" !

NOT going out anymore today. THis heat can KILL ME !

So I think I had a milestone outfront, with the Heli. I was hovering and the heli went 30' downrange. I fed in a bunch of back and then slowed it at about 12' and to eat up the inertia I added a taste of right slip. This normally a wreck in progress, but everything worked and I kept flying.

That this progress has primarily occurred in the last 8 days is stunning to me.

No, my bad.. on the 3 season / sun room. Liz sometimes calls it either, and so do I.
I'm guessing her toe is good now, she hasn't been whinning about it, and wearing her regular shoes... LMAO!

Took the day off from outdoor projects. Just kind of a relaxin' day. No RC, just veggin' out.

I feel solidarity with what you are writing about.
That is what they mean when they recommend that you
practice in baby steps, short increments.
Somehow this happens in short inspirational moments
when the needed reaction gets embedded in the brain, I guess.

I think there's not enough recognition from others just how
different it is to LEARN things when you're more advanced in age.

the serious trick is to NOT BREAK THE MODEL while acquiring
the EXPERTISE......

That looks about right!

Tim- Good job on the recovery. You are getting better each flight.

Rick....I totally agree on the learning thing at older ages. Gotta go slow and try NOT to break the model. Now I will address the Innovator thing. Rick, if I had a hose, I would BEAT you.....LMAO.....just joking guy, you know I love ya. IF the innovator would have come off as reliable, I wouldn't have a problem with it, and if it worked the way it was supposed to, it would actually be cool.

Wnuk, breaking heli parts is one of my specialties. But I think in this case I might be ahead of the curve I break them first, the figure out the heli Thank you all for your comments, the last two batteries of the night continued the extended flight profile control.

Thanks for watching the Extra vid. CK, I am not sure that my 3D hijinx did'nt help me with the heli.

addressed to TIM FERNDALE !

to follow up on yesterday's conversation about learning, progressing, etc.

the baby steps and the adjustment of the Solitary Brain Cell to have the proper reflexes would/could be shown by what I did this afternoon as my practice.

First, the practice session was limited to 15minutes and 3 flights. HEAT !

practice :
1- smoother + controlled lift off [ ZERO drifting forward and sideways ]
2- (breezy), practice holding in ONE PLACE, no drift, no climb, no descent.
3- repeated reaching and clicking the stunt key, to memorize the exact reach
4- same for throttle hold, and practice straight down drops / landings
5- piros, no drift, no climb, no descent...both right and left directions
6- controlled landings, straight down, onto a predetermined spot.

3 full flights, 3:30min.each about 15minute practice, WITH DEFINITE PURPOSES IN MIND

maybe you'll find this useful.....I am FAR from being a heli pilot yet
