On the hobbyparts website, click the Motors on the left, then giant motors.
but Tacon big foot is better than Monster power anyway.
I don't see Monster power listed. They must have cleaned the old links up.

Can anyone tell me if the Bigfoot 160 x-mount is the same as the e-flite 160? I ordered Tuesday and have a bigfoot on the way for a plane I am finishing, and would like to drill the firewall today if possible.

Did you ever get an answer or sort this out? I have the Bigfoot 160 and am also curious if the mounting pattern is the same as e-flite.

The X mount has the same outer bolt pattern as the e-flite 160. the screws that hold the motor to the x-mount are in a smaller pattern.
I ended up buying a power 160 anyways to get the plane in the air since hobbypartz packaged the motor and lost it prior to shipping. It arrived yesterday from an order that was placed on 25 Feb

Anybody know if the Tacon bolt-on prop adapter will fit the (now unobtanium) ExceedRC equivalent motors? I have an ExceedRC .46 and am in need of a prop adapter. too many nose-overs I do not want to chance reversing the shaft and getting a collet-type adapter. Too many bad experiences reversing shafts.

Well, after discovering that the Tacon .46 has a 6mm shaft and my ExceedRC .46 has an 8mm shaft I decided to just bite the bullet and reverse the shaft. No issues. I did have to grind a flat spot for the grub screw on the bell. I also noticed that there are two sets of bearings on each end of the motor. Interesting. I've ordered a prop adapter for my 8mm shaft.

I was wondering if anyone had calipers to measure the counterbore diameter an depth and the bolt circle for mounting on the Tacon 32 and 46 prop adaptors . Id like a place to buy adaptors and Tacon has a good selection . From all the searching I have done there seems to be some standardization with them . I have seen 6 and 8mm shafts for 32 size motors though . The only other difference is a 4 or 3 bolt pattern . I have looked for specs but cant even find a website for Tacon so it must be a rebranded china motor used by Nitro and HobbyPartz .

I have used the one for the 46, 60, 15 and they have fit my Monster power and Tacon motors. Might work for you?

Motor went out on me ... lost power probably not sure if it was because magnet broke loose and caused it too lock or my ESC went into thermal protection. I'm running 20x10 VV rc electric prop on 4500 10s. Not sure that this is the kind of power that would do this to the motor. Could a prop strike do something like this. I ordered another one and have to do minor repairs on my bird.

Anyone know if the Tacon 160 can take 2x 6 cell packs at 5000c size on a 20/10 two balde ?
It says is a 245 KV , my buddy a very experienced RC warbird guy is flying this exact set up on ESM 18 thru 20lb warbirds and says it's a proven format with 8 or so mins of flying.
Yet everything I read on this and the 160 eflight all show 2x 5 cell packs ?

I run a Bigfoot 160 with a 16 x 8 3 blade on 12 cells and it runs over 3000 watts. I don't recommend a 20 x 10 2 blade on 12 cells. I am thinking you would get everything real hot.
