Thanks! But like I said, the real life test results are different than E-Calc's.
Can anyone speak from testing/experience?

I have used ecalc several times, all with good success, same as lots of folks.
You say your results are not the same, how and what is different?
We need more info to help you make a better informed desicion. Unfotunately stating that "its just not the same" is too wide of a statement to get information required from.
Not being sarcastic, just trying to help.

Yes thank you!!
The motor has not arrived yet.
I was just looking back, and people are getting less than 600watts with a 12x8 prop, while ecalc says more than 600 watts.
Just was wondering what everyone was using on their 32, because me being 13 I dont have a lot of money to buy different props and try them out that $25 in props could go towards purchasing my 2nd reciever!!
Lol!
I do have a 14x7 on hand, i don't think its too big. I will run it up on the A meter and see what it reads once the motor comes. I am actually getting the plane and motor for christmas so it will be a bit yet.

I urge you NOT to try the 14", is too much for the esc to handle. A 11x7 APC prop is less than $7, but a new ESC is over $50.
Only takes a second of a prop overpowering the system to cook it.

You have lots of time to keep poking around and ask questions. Search the forums for theards regarding your plane and the e-power systems others have used. You will get a much better idea then.

Good point....
Please refer to post #50.
13x8 prop = 620 watts on 4S.
14x7 would be close I'd have to imagine?

Alexjschauer,
FWIW I'm using the Tacon 32 in my FMS 1400mm P-51 Mustang running an EMP 13x8 2-bladed prop. She's making 750 watts/45 amps with this setup on 4S 3300 Lipos.

Unfortunately there isn't much on the forums
Just seen one non-product advertising video on youtube and looks and flies amazing.
Just put in the bottom of the "nitro" category on NitroPlanes, (its electric) so nobody really sees it.

I usually get 5:30 or so flight times, depends on how fast I fly. Make sure you try the APC props out as well, they're easier on the amp draw. I'd go with a 13x6.5 for your setup. You'll have tons of thrust and efficiency without making your plane go too crazy fast.

Go with the 32 . Extra power is not a bad thing. I use the 32 in Eflights
Rapsody on 4 cell and love it. Dynam 60 amp ESC gives good space
and overhead
