Nice indeed. Hope it doesn't offend but the first thing I thought of when I saw the first picture was the Fiesler Storch.
Wonder if anyone will ever put leading edge slats on the Fun Cub. |

I have been getting good results with about 20 degrees of flaps and down elevator on the landing system for inverted flight. Very hard to maintain without flaps but stable with flaps. I have just begun trying inverted flight and am no master pilot. The flaps make it pretty easy.

Yes, I did stiffen the undercarriage just a bit. Not to stiffen as much as reduce the spreading that occurs with the FC. So, it can still absorb plenty of shock fore and aft but less so outwards. Just a simply hoop of piano wire same diameter as the kit UC soldered up. All of the painting is just hand brushed artist acrylics then given a finish coat of Crystal Clear for protection. |
