Thomas has suggested I need a complete refit. Sam is contemplative...

I will give her some TLC... (After the season is over)

Oh! Not Columbia ... Slope flying near the equator is alive and very well! Sorry for the hijack.

And good company it is! There are some very good fliers and they generally fly their own designs. Hope to make it back again soon... This is truly a world class slope!

We went this weekend. Had ballistic conditions on Saturday at Eagle. My wind meter peaks at 70 mph and it was pegged!

What did you fly in that much wind? Sounds like to much of a good thing

Hi Tom,

I flew my fully loaded Blast in that wind. That plane is a rocket in big lift! I'm reconsidering my decision to put it up for sale. The pumps were outrageous!! I believe Joel got some video of it....

The wind backed off in the afternoon to about 40-50 mph so then I started tossing fully loaded F3X models (Ceres, Sting, and Giant).

Everything in the photo's flew, the video I got with my phone is a bit dark, when I have time I'll try to brighten it up. If it's worthy, I'll post it.

I see that you had the flaps down to keep you planes on the ground between flights. I am suprised that you did not need to teather them with rope and stakes also with that kind of wind. Wish I could have been there with my Barracuda.

Notice how far back we were on the hill! Parts and planes would have been flying had we left them where we usually do. The wind smoothed out and backed down to 30-40 much later in the day which made for some excellent flying. After enduring cold temps and high winds I have never slept so soundly when bedtime came around...
