One of my local flying spots

Yesterday was sunny with a light wind but temperature was about 5C.
A quick trip up to a local moor, not far from home, and a favourite slope soaring site when the winds right. Usually only me up there and sometimes a walker in the distance.

A few aerial shots I took yesterday.

Great pictures! I saved a couple for my desktop back ground. Just the right color to see all the icons.

Glad the photos were O.K for a backgrond. I will have to do "colours to order". >:-)

It was a bit hazy when I took the photos. A few days earlier it was amazingly clear visibility but I wasn't able to get out flying that day. Weather looks good for a few days so I am hoping to get some more AP done.

Great pictures,great landscape, and very clear air.......

In Germany we have similar weather currently, wind from northeast cold and dry, the visibillty ist very high, but the wind is to strong and gusty

Hi Walter,
Thanks for the comments. The photos are taken at a spot just on the edge of the Lake District.
I have lots of very nice places in mind for this summer. I had them in mind for last summer as well but the weather was terrible... constantly windy and too much rain.

This week looks favourable for a few days flying, cold, clear and light wind for several days here on the west coast of England.

Great pictures, but I'm confused. I thought a moor was a marshy area.. The rolling hills in you pictures remind me of the foothills on the southern end of the central valley of California.
