I have some lights planned in the future. The Gopro3 was not aerodynamic but with it half buried in the battery slot with no case not so bad.

Yeah, lee, quit trash talkin' the best video recorder out there!

Ok, so the flat face of the gopro is not that aerodynamic, but really, if you plan to use it from the building point, and can bury it in even halfway, instead of just strapping it on top, it's not that bad at all.

I tried on top in the case. Didn't go so well

I didn't say it wasn't the best, it just isn't the most aerodynamic or least expensive.

For my needs it isn't what I am using now.

No, I know. I still think the keychain is great, too, when you want a video for fun, or for instruction. I'm just not going to let 3.5 sq inches of flat face stop me from getting crazy good video when I want to put together a "presentation" quality vid. There's too much beauty from up in the sky. Now if I could just all my decent gopro footage to look as good as Todd's.

But yeah, it comes down to what you're trying to accomplish post-production

Yeah, I'll probably grab a keychain cam in the future as well

I soldered up my own LEDS and put them on the Scythe and the Widowmaker a little while ago. It's amazing flying at night with them.

Scythe Fun (1 min 11 sec)

Thought you guys would find this funny. This is the Scythe that is super light. I'm trying to hold the camera and fly so I just stuck the throttle up there somewhere and goofed around.

Nice video, it looks pretty fast for a light weight setup. You can make the video filming easier if you strap the camera to a baseball cap bill or if you have a GoPro, you can get a headstrap or helmet mount, so you can throttle down if you need to, not that crashing these things really does much damage or anything, just sayin' It is a pretty funny video though, thanks for that.

Allen, is your light weight Scythe finless, it looks that way in the video above? If so I'm curious how it compares to the one with fins?

It has fins, however they are smaller than the supplied ones and lighter. When this thing flies straight it's smooth. It just goes nuts when you change its attitude because it's so light. Just under 4oz for a 26"wing. It's like a flying piece of paper, as soon as you change direction it hits a wall of air.
