Lol. I figured that Armageddon clip might be viewed as insensitive since there were injuries when it exploded in russia so I removed it..just in case

You know, I actually liked the movie Enemy Mine

Cry my RX3S OrangeRX 3-Axis Flight Stabilizer V2 came in yesterday. If you want to try it out let me know & It's yours to experiment with for a couple of months. The Hi-Model gyro is on the boat & the Eagle Tree gyro is in the mail.

Reality is, I am about 2 months out from building, testing & finishing my "Super FunCub" because I am studying like a dog for my PMI Project Management Certification off work hours.

It should be Hoover propellers cuz I think those sexy props are going to suck up some money from buyers!

Supa, any plans on 3 blade props or larger 2 blade ones like 30" or 32"

Thanks Lee, I may take you up on that, but for now, I don't have the platform ready.

Good luck on your PMI cert my friend!!

That meteorite was Bad Ass! You gotta find one of the videos with the sonic boom. It's not like a jet flyover, the thing was moving so fast the boom coming in from the upper atmosphere was 20 odd seconds behind the rock.

For the last couple of days I have been catching up on foam building techniques. I'm stunned. I ordered Ken Sparks book, Building with Foam. I thought I would never do a big scratch built project agains because of my balsa allergy but this is a game changer.

I've been wanting a warbird and he has a kit of the 1/4 scale P-40 that is in this thread. They are building at weights that equal the best 3D aircraft and are 1/2 that of 'traditional' wood and fiberglass airplanes the same size. The result is much more "scale" flying characteristics and much better handeling characteristics. I think we are maybe 3-5 years from one of these going to Top Gun and take a trophy.

Just 2 blades to start and they're still getting them online with the specs. I've been flying the samples for a month(ish) and those were the 22x8 and 27x10. I tried a 23x8 on the 50cc slick yesterday and loved it. It's a wider blade so it doesn't rev as high, but the low end "bite" makes up for it. Downline and power off braking is super effective and makes a cool "whooosh" sound as it slows down. The NCC guys didn't hardly recognize me since I was making way less noise than usual. This was the video of the 27x10 on the DLE111 a few weeks back, at about 1:45 there's a WOT pass on the deck so you can see how "noisy" it is...

SupaTim 3D soup! (0 min 0 sec)

The first batch is at pretty killer intro prices, below are the sizes in stock so far:

19x8 - $32.5
22x8 - $36
22x10 - $36
23x8 - $37.5
26x10 - $43
27x10 - $47
30x12 - $61
30x13 - $61
32x12 - $67

tim you dont have a 28x12 listed yet. thats the mej size geno was running on his edge, i would be interested in seeing how the sounds compare from the two. if you have a price i will pass it on to him.

also would the 23x8 be good on the dle-55?

SupaTim, Next round on the props suggest they expand the line to compete with aeronaut and gaupner carbon cam electric props, sizes dia 18 down to 14. I want someone to make a laid up full carbon e-prop.

E-props are a tough one as these are definitely built nice and sturdy for a gas application, but if these take off I wouldn't rule it out down the road.

23x8 is great on the 55, that's what I just switched to. No 28x12 yet but on the next round they'll be adding sizes and pitches for 60 and 120cc as well as 9 and 11 pitches for the popular sizes.
