Given that VV is an Aeroworks dealer, I'd say this would be hot with smoke on!

Description:

Whoever said lightning doesn't strike twice hasn't spent enough time with me. Got my 2nd full blown lockout in 48 hours today at Flaming Geyser. Looked IDENTICAL to my 100cc lawn dart on Saturday in that all surfaces went to failsafe (neutral and engine off.) This time with no sign of coming back. What really gets me is that I had 3 full 10 minute flights without even a hint of an issue on that plane yesterday.

Needless to say I'm pulling every receiver I've got as well as my radio and sending it all to Horizon Hobby for a full blown autopsy/inspection. Hate to say it but now that I have to replace a transmitter, 100cc and 30cc bird, I may be taking an indefinite break from RC for a while. Or trading it all in on 30-40 crackyaks since those bounce at least...

Shiza is right... May be dissolving a fleet in the near future and taking up extreme cup stacking or frisbee golf. Stay tuned for possibly the greatest RC garage sale ever...

no no..we have all been there. The downside of the hobby where we are staring at a pile of balsa and thinking its a big waste of money and just quitting it all. When I had that dead stick and ripped the LG out of a brand new 100cc MX2, I pretty much took the fukitol pill.
What brought me back, was the camraderie of the group we have and the wife missing aspects of my hobby.

Just chill over the winter, keep your chin up, and then get back into it with a fresh attitude in the spring.

I took pretty much the entire year off from planes for somewhat the same reason. Best thing I did. Helped the wife relationship, the bank account somewhat. (multirotors are pricey), and it kept me home to do all those honeydoo's everyone was making fun about.

Over the course of a year, no problem. Inside of 48 hours, a little eye-opening. Sending my stuff to Horizon will buy me at least 2 weeks to figure out what the heck I'm gonna do... A few guys are waving Futabas at me, Flop just switched to a new 12x, shop guys fly Airtronics. May just go giant scale control line!

When you get centered and get that new kit later on, ditch DSM2 and get some sort of freq hopping radio, be that the SD10G, Futaba Fasst, JR DMSS or DSMX.

I think somethings up with your TX.

For those of you that spent this evening watching football....... You missed one of the best flying evenings of the year! .
Ok Maybe not the best, but it sure was nice! 68 and dead calm! Had a Good time with the Wrickter Scale!
Got his new comp arf extra 260 running better and dropped it to the deck. Rick was puckering! Pretty nice plane!
Anyone have experience with tuned pipes on a DA 150? they make it kinda quirky. Very sensitive and finicky.
