tell nate that his cannister mounts, bottom cover plate and led controller are on the way. I could not, for the life of me, locate my spare 2.5" engine standoffs.

He will have to order those in for his DA.

We plan on it! Thanks.

Oh and Redaerorc is right down the road from Disney World.
Deanna is telling me we should see if they deliver!
can you say Breitling "Nigel Lamb" MXSR?

I think, however, that the airport has a baggage size limit

So here is our plan for the green MX2 maiden.
We get back sunday oct 3rd and I have Monday the 4th off to recouperate.
If Monday's weather is nice, I'm putting her in the air.

come on out to see the maiden and see how well the smoke works out!

You guys have a great trip, and hope you get to visit some RC plane things while you are away.

Not sure when this was taken, but it kind of pisses me off. (unless of course this was a special event). MAR/C tells us no 3D over the runway yet this stuff takes place? Come on..

I have no personal direct experience with them but I have read and been told they are grate motors. I have also been told they are the same as PA Trust motors which I use in my PA planes and like them very much. You have seen these in action BTW. I hope this helps

I've been flying several Torque motors for a couple of years. I think they are great.

Improved plane storage!

I just got some updates on my plane storage methods and figured I'd share them with you all. My last change was adding some ratcheting tie downs capable of being 4' to 12' - I used these to add a second plane below the one plane I had originally hung. I thought I was pretty satisfied with this setup as I could store four planes quite easily (30cc planes that is). However I started thinking that if I replaced the flat bungee cords used to hang the plane on top I could hopefully get it closer to the ceiling, and therefor get the lower plane even higher than I could originally get.

So off to Home Depot I go and picked up some adjustable tie downs capable of being 1' to 6' in length. I swapped the flat bungees out and now I think I'm satisfied. In fact, I think I could hang 3 planes on each setup now! That'd mean six 30cc planes! Haha, wait till the wife hears that. I also think my setup above my computer could probably fit a 50cc, though don't have one to try hanging. Anyways, here are the pictures.

You can see that the planes are quite a bit closer together than before, and closer to ceiling.

Don't you think I could squeeze another plane under the sbach? Hehe

These are the different tie down's I'm using. Blue ones for the top plane, and orange ones for the bottom plane (or should I say middle plane - if I wanted to hang a third the same orange ratchet tie down would have enough length to work)

Thanks Jholen. My wife will hate you for that LOL. She hates putting holes in the wall, let alone the ceiling. Looks like a good systen though and i've been thinking that i need to do something with a few of mine.

Hehe, my wife just shook her head when she saw it.

The eye-hooks I've got in the ceiling are secured in the studs and are rated for 60lbs - I probably wouldn't go over 30lbs just to be sure, and if I hung three I'd probably alternate the motor, ie. motor to the right, then motor to the left, then motor to the right to spread some of the weight over both hooks.

Its a good idea. Amazing how much room they start to take up leaning up against the walls like I have them.
