Hey VItter, trade you a pull in my foamy for a pull on that SLick? You like low flying right?

The weather report is looking pretty good, what are the winds usually like at 60 acres?

Are you thinking about coming over to this side of the sound? I checked the wind report for 60 acres and it is supposed to be around 1mph until 2pm and it will gradually pick up from there to be around 6mph at 5pm. Looks like a really good wind forecast

2nd Annual Fly-in / BBQ / Swapmeet.

Check this out: 2nd Annual Fly-in / BBQ / Swapmeet.
Quote:
Plan on making it to our last big event of the year at 60 Acres on Saturday, May 8th from 10am to around 7pm for our 2nd Annual Fly-in / BBQ / Swapmeet. The club will provide free hotdogs and soda's but were hoping this can also be a pot luck thing like last year that went so well. We could really use some folding tables and extra chairs this time to hold the food and give people a place to sit and eat.

Stuff needed:

Tables and chairs

BBQ with ride there and back

Food, You the kind of stuff that won't go bad if it's a warm day.

Icechests to hold the pop

Paper plates, Napkins, Forks, Spoons ....

Use this forum space to confirm if your able to help with this event. Add the stuff I forgot about and lets make this work.
It says open to all but i just asked if we could all go

I'm in.. Sounds like fun. 60 Acres is a spot I like to frequent. It gets pretty popular at times, a lot of air traffic, but early will probably be great. There's always a good variety of fliers there too. Glad to see this thread being used to rally.

Guys it was REAL!

Here's some pix of Vitter and his 70" Slick. From left to right Vitter, Ledbed6b and Egaus inspecting the Slick battery tray.

The Slick does killer spins, nice and easy upright ones too.

Oh and congratulations to Ledbed, he's getting married to some hot tall German chick in a couple weeks. He said she likes to drink a lot of beer, Ledbed you bastard!

Haha thanks John.

I managed to get a couple flights in at the field by my house this morning with the 51" slick. I was able to get into a couple of KE spins.

After flying the 70" and seeing the beast fly its only a matter of time before I get the 70 or 89 inch slick....
