Mine ended up at 72mm. I am sure this will be good for starters.

My problem with the Sky Surfer was the propeller blades seperated from it's hub during motor checks. I have emailed the tech support and wating for their response.

What do you mean separated? I am having a hard time visualizing that.

Sounds like the prop threw a blade.

Hey AJ...did you fly your SS yet? I'd not buy a RR version, but have thought about a kit version. I really like the idea of the white wings and tail which lend for better decorating and visibility than the blue or silver MPX ones.

Mine did the exact same thing. The hub in the center of the prop just broke and the blades went south. This was before I even flew it. Just a runup of power to check everything. Changed to 6x4 that I had to ream out to fit. Glad to know I wasn't the only one experiencing that and also glad the prop was not it the front. Told BH it was defective.

aka KF7DS
Mine is also at 72mm from leading edge along the fuselage. It is very stable at 1/2 to 2/3rds throttle and handles breezes very well.

Having major troubles programming my Esc for Throttle .all control surfaces work but not Throttle I've watched several videos follow the instructions but nothing. Also I've seen some pictures where it looks like the throttle is reversed is that correct? So frustrated any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well couple of things. #1 REMOVE the prop. You don't want a motor firing up when you don't expect it to.
Usually only Futaba radios have to have the throttle reversed.

Next, trim the throttle all the way down. And try it.

Next, Transmitter off, throttle pushed all the way on, then power up the transmitter.
Followed by the airplane. Listen for a couple of beeps or tones, and immediately move the throttle to off. You should hear a tone or two, followed by the esc arming tones.

If still not working, Plug the esc into another port on the receiver, and plug a servo into the esc port of the receiver. If the servo moves with the stick on the transmitter, you know you are getting a proper signal.

Thank you Glacier Girl!
I'm glad to see some current tips on the Sky Surfer as I just picked up a couple from BH.
All went smooth.
Happy Skies!
