Glad to see that someone for RCG got that one. I don't know how well the lower unit will hold up to the brushless motor, but time will tell. I bought mine last fall and just finished rigging it up, more or less stock. I've got other motors to try on it, though...

what size is the OB ? looks like it takes a 500 or 600 sized brushed, from elsewhere i believe a 36mm would fit possibly with an adapter plate

It was the nib red one, The dude claims it was only driven once in his pool. I beleive it takes a 540, 36mm would probably be about perfect. In the video, he needs to go faster, or trim it down, it does not look like it has enough uumph to get on the final step.

probably a 3660, around 2500kv on 4s should be ok, have to swap the flex shaft though to handle the power

I beleive the outboard is gear driven.

ah, then it might be a case of slightly higher motor and lower volt batt

That was the plan, 2s, But I will have to wait until the boat gets here to take measurements of the outboard.

folks have been having reasonably good results running either a proboat1500(bj26) or a sv motor on 4s lipo in the namba p spec tunnels.

This 1800kv 36x56 is a very strong motor...........i have one. I think it would be perfect on 4s. Plus a 56 will have a better chance to fit under the cowl heightwise and you could use a cooling coil for space saving as opposed to a jacket with the pipes that stick out................i had trouble getting a jacket like that into an aquacraft EP1.

That motor was a seriou consideration from the start, My only concern is that it is too much power.
