I wasn't happy with where the CG wound up, so I moved the RX out of the wing and up just behind the forward wing mount. This worked out well, but I'm still a tiny bit aft of where I'd like to be. I may have to result to sticking a square of lead on the nose.

I'm having a small issue with the x gear. I think I may have built the gear incorrectly. At rest the wheels want to splay out a bit. Any landing which causes the gear to flex out will result in the axels and lower wheel plastic block bits to separate. I think if I put a washer between the nut and the wheel block, it may fix the issue.

Any thoughts?

Sweet! I have to agree about the scheme. Nice work. It has a "Blue Angles" theme going for it.

Keep working on it, you'll have it done in no time.

Can't wait to see it in the air.

Thanks for the encouragement. It has been awhile since I have built a kit. However, this one has got me looking for another!

Yeah, this is a good basic kit to get you back into it.

I've found that I am the most engaged and active in my kit building when I have a forum thread to post my progress and get some ideas from fellow builders. I was glad to find the SSX bipe had one already started.

If / When you get another kit, be sure to post a thread. Drop me a PM to let me know what you've started and where the thread is.

Thought I would add my take on the SSX Biplane. Just finished it today. It is done in American WWI roundels in the theme of Eddie Rickenbacker's SPAD. It was raining today so I was unable to Maiden the model. I am excited about flying it. My Slow Stick X ARF flies so well. Here are a few pictures.

It flies! I need to tweek the wing incidence to get better performance out of it though. This weekend's weather is looking pretty good for that.
