Design and Building of a 160" C130

Hey all,
As some of you may know I have been working on a 257" B-36D that will fly this year. But my next project will be a C-130. Many want to see my project from square one. So I am going to share the best I can all aspects of the design, and then the building of this project. This thread may be slow at first as I only design while traveling, or late at night when I can't run my saws and drill-press. If you are here to see wood being cut, and the aircraft on a bench, come back in about 10 months. if you want to see how I create a plane 110% from scratch, then you should have a great time.

This project should proceed like this:

Programming- this is where I calculate what it will take to make this project successful.
DD-Design Development, this is where it will start to take shape and certain components will be made to test the feasibility of it working on the completed aircraft.
Prototyping-Testing what is thought to be a challenge.
Construction-it speaks for it's-self.
Testing-it speaks for it's-self.

I will be posting all aspects of the design, CAD, 3D-CAD, calcs, maybe some math, and hopefully keep you all interested in the project.

Rock On!

DAG

And if you haven't picked a type for your C-130....the MC-130H Talon II is a great choice

dag,

Love to see you make this as a Spectre Gun Ship with the 75mm cannon and multiple Gatling style guns. With a bird this big you could actually incorporate a real gun for the cannon!!

Love your B-36 thread and staying tuned for the C-130 developments.
