Comp-ARF Corsair with folding wings

Just starting the build of a 110" Composite ARF F4U with folding wings. I've been sitting on this project for quite some time now waiting for the retracts to arrive. Well, last week Sierra Giants delivered the greatest present I'll get all year!!! A little info....she's got a span of 110", 86" length, should weigh around 45 lbs., moki 250cc 5cyl radial gas engine, hydraulic folding wings, sliding canopy, and potentially a functioning arrestor hook. Jr 8711 all around, smart fly to disperse power, and a JR 9503 guiding the monster. Wish me luck....

Got the retracts and the pneumatic gear doors workin perfecto! The doors and gear work on a pneumatic sequencer that opens the doors before the gear comes out and visa versa. The pneumatic cylinders that operate the gear doors are 3/8" dia and have a stroke of about 1" but put out a nice deal of force. Last pic is of the hydraulic wing folding mechanism and the ram. still gotta figure out a mini pump, reservoir, and collector to make the thing work.....enough talk.

Oh joy, I smoked the controller for the hydraulic system. Online schematic says 7.2v, apparently not.

Talk about a small world , I was just visiting Southern Cal and stopped in Gyro hobbies .
I was in total admiration of your corsair but there was no one in the store at the time to simply share that passion !! I said to the guy at the register "wow that is a seriouos heavy medal warbird , great project "
hoping to get some good feedback --na , all I got was "ya its is " lol ,
love the corsair and your project is top notch !!!!
